Charles D. Gavrilovich, Jr. holds a B.S.E.E. degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and a J.D. degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. His legal experience includes private practice positions in large general practice and IP boutique law firms as well as in-house patent department positions at a large telecommunications company. In addition, Mr. Gavrilovich was an RF design engineer for over five years prior to pursuing his legal career.

Travis L. Dodd received a BS Chemical Engineering degree with High Honors from University of Illinois, Champaign, IL, a MS Chemical Engineering/Biochemical Engineering degree from Cornell University and a JD from New York University School of Law. He is actively involved in the planning and execution of intellectual property strategies for start-up and emerging growth companies. Mr. Dodd received his training at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati and later with Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich before forming the Law Offices of Travis L. Dodd which were merged into Gavrilovich, Dodd & Lindsey, LLP.

Michael K. Lindsey holds a J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University, an M.S.E.E. from University of Arizona, and a B.S. Engineering-Physics from Oregon State University. Mr. Lindsey is a registered patent attorney specializing in patent, trademark and copyright matters. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar, Chicago Bar, and American Intellectual Property Law Associations.

Joseph R. Baker, Jr. received a Bachelor’s degree in General Biology from the University of California, a Master’s of Science degree from San Diego State University in Cell & Molecular Biology and a J.D. from California Western School of Law. Mr. Baker is registered to practice in the State of California, in the state of Washington and before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Mr. Baker has held positions at large general practice and intellectual property firms as well as positions at a small biotechnology start-up company and a large multinational biotechnology company. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Baker is an adjunct professor of law at California Western School of Law and a lecturer through the University of California, San Diego Extension program.

James M. Sarnecky graduated cum laude with a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and he holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame. His practice focuses on intellectual property and other commercial litigation. Prior to joining Gavrilovich, Dodd, & Lindsey, LLP as a partner, he was trained as a litigator at Gray, Cary, Ware & Freidenrich LLP and DLA Piper US LLP in San Diego, California. He is a member of the California and Nevada state bar associations and he is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Gregory P. Einhorn (Of Counsel) received a Bachelor’s degree in General Biology from the University of Delaware, cum laude; a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Georgetown University; a Ph.D. from the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine; and a J.D. from George Washington University Law School. Greg is an intellectual property attorney whose practice focuses on biotechnology-related intellectual property and portfolio “life cycle” management, with an emphasis on developing and implementing domestic and international patent filing and portfolio strategies, as well as licensing and due diligence evaluation. Greg Einhorn is registered to practice law in the State of California and as a patent attorney before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. In addition to his legal practice, Dr. Einhorn has taught a course on Foreign Patent Prosecution for University of California San Diego (UCSD) extension school for several quarters.
